What's Happening

Welcome to The Hub—a favorite gathering spot in Daybreak’s Upper Villages. Here, you can grab something delicious from Biscotts Bakery & Café, cool off at the Highland Park Pool, and relax with neighbors—all in one convenient place. Even better, The Hub sits just steps from model homes in Highland Park, so you can truly make a day of it.

Biscotts Café

Biscotts, a pastry and chai house, modeled after the chai houses in London where chai and tea are served along fresh baked pastries and sandwiches. Owned and operated by Lavanya Mahate, Biscotts will offer customers a global mix of savory and sweet flavors.
Lavanya is no stranger to the foodie scene. She is the owner of Saffron Valley, Biscotts and Dhayna Spices.

  • Saffron Valley: Locations in South Jordan, the Avenues and opening this summer in Sugar House.
  • Dhanya Spices & Groceries an Indian Marketplace located in South Jordan.
  • Biscotts: Two South Jordan locations including the brand-new Daybreak location.

“We designed the Daybreak Biscotts’ location to be a hub for conversation, good eats and good times,” says Lavanya. “Our menu reflects global tastes and includes healthy choices and some indulgent ones while maintaining a high degree of authenticity and regard for fresh ingredients and cooking techniques.”
The menu options are handheld and are quick to eat. Simple yet delicious foods.  It’s adjacent to the new community pool and will have a service window, which is perfect for grabbing a treat for the kids while you are at the pool. See the menu.

Biscotts is now hiring for part-time and full-time positions at the café. It is the perfect employment opportunity for Daybreak residents who want to work close to home and have flexibility. Apply here.

Highland Park Pool

Then, head outside to the Highland Park Pool for a refreshing swim. The pool is part of Daybreak’s network of resident amenities. Before you go, review amenity access and seasonal details on our Amenities page and amenities roundup. For policies and passes, visit the LiveDAYBREAK/Daybreak Community Association site.

Make a Day of It

Because The Hub is so central, it’s easy to turn a quick stop into an afternoon adventure. After your treat, wander over to Downtown Daybreak and SoDa Row for more shops and eats. Or, keep the outdoor fun going at The Watercourse, along Parks & Trails, or near Oquirrh Lake.
