Southern flavors have arrived at Daybreak! Earlier this Summer, Porch opened its doors offering a taste of comfort food with an upscale twist. Chef Jen Gilroy relies upon fresh, local and organic ingredients as she layers flavors to create one-of-a-kind dishes.

You may recognize Gilroy from her award-winning Salt Lake City restaurant, Meditrina. Gilroy refers to Porch as “Meditrina’s sassy kid sister,” but foodies will agree that Porch doesn’t disappoint.  Whether you try Porch for brunch or dinner, the menu is packed with food options that will remind you of your Grandmother’s kitchen.

Recently, Devour Utah magazine highlighted the new restaurant, located at SoDa Row, and shared Gilroy’s journey to bring Southern flavors to the Salt Lake Valley. It all began when Gilroy moved to Tennessee to study English in hopes of becoming a professor, but instead she discovered her love of cooking and is now sharing some of her favorite flavors at her new restaurant.  Read the Devour Utah article here.
