What's Happening

(South Jordan, Utah) February 19, 2014 – Gourmet food purveyor Granato’s Deli, women’s fashion and accessories retailer, Nest Boutique and Keller Williams Realty have announced they will open new locations in Daybreak’s SoDa Row retail hub, joining Mathnasium, The Break Sports Grill and others in the community’s unique retail district.
In business in Utah since 1948, Granato’s new SoDa Row location at Daybreak will be their fourth location in the Salt Lake Valley.  An Italian-style deli and specialty food purveyor, Granato’s offers authentic Italian and Mediterranean specialties including olive oils, vinegars, pastas, coffee and sweets.  In addition to their lunch menu, freshly prepared “take and bake” meals will also be available such as lasagna, ravioli, manicotti and other Italian classics, offering quick dinner options for those on the go.
“We’re excited to be opening in April here at Daybreak’s SoDa Row,” said Frank Granato III, the grandson of Granato’s original founder, Frank Granato, Sr.   “We are still a family-owned business and are proud to be in business in Utah for three generations.”
Nest Boutique, specializing in on-trend women’s clothing and accessories, as well as home décor items, will open their doors at SoDa Row in early May 2014.  Sourcing unique pieces, some of which are handcrafted, the store offers a wide variety of colorful and fashion-forward collectibles to fit every budget.
“I love the idea of having a shop within a neighborhood that you can walk or bike to,” says Nest owner Brittany Allen, who lives nearby in the Daybreak community.  “I wanted a beautiful place where people could drop in and browse for a bit, and find a unique gift for themselves or someone special,” Allen continued.  “I love being able to work and live in the same place, owning a local boutique business here at SoDa row allows me to do just that.”
Rounding out the list of new tenants is Keller Williams Realty Group.  As the largest real estate franchise company in North America, with approximately 700 offices and 90,000 associates around the world, the company began in 1983 and specializes in luxury homes and commercial real estate properties.  Keller Williams is set to open their new SoDa row shingle in March of 2014.
“All real estate is local” noted Klair Gunn with Keller Williams Realty. “By locating an office right in the Daybreak Community, we’re able to provide great service and neighborhood expertise to this community that continues to grow at a fast pace. What’s great about Daybreak is the wide range of housing types that are available. It provides the opportunity for people to move-up or downsize based on their current life stage without having to leave the neighborhood, which is a pretty unique thing in today’s real estate world.”

Granato’s Deli, Nest Boutique and Keller Williams Realty Group join Mathnasium, a franchised math tutoring center providing tailored math education programs for K-12 students and The Break Sports Grill, a sports bar featuring live entertainment, along with Swirly Girls Bakery, Tio’s Restaurant, Copper Mountain CrossFit, 9 Salon & Spa, Black Diamond Gymnastics, Guy’s Barber Shop and Zion’s Bank in the SoDa Row retail space.
“SoDa Row is not your typical retail experience. Here the visually appealing shops, restaurants and services are accessible by bike, foot or car to all those living in and around our community,” said Scott Kaufmann, VP of Commercial Development for Rio Tinto-Kennecott.  “Our aim with SoDa Row is to create a unique destination that is a return to quality, locally-owned shopping alternatives that provide a gathering place for people that are looking for an alternative to the typical strip center format.”
