About Daybreak
Kennecott Land began building Daybreak in 2004 on roughly 4,100 acres. Since then, thousands of homes have sold and hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial space have opened. Looking ahead, the master plan calls for as many as 20,000 homes along with retail, office, and schools.
Transit also plays a central role. The Mid‑Jordan TRAX line connects Daybreak with downtown and the University of Utah. Riders can plan a trip and check schedules on the UTA website.
