Each holiday season The Christmas Box International sponsors their Project Elf initiative, where they collect donations of gifts, clothing, toys, supplies and gift cards for children, teens and young adults in Christmas Box House care. And each holiday season, the LiveDAYBREAK Community Council lends a hand. This year donations from Daybreak residents and friends filled the Community Center to brimming, and in total over $6,500 in gifts and supplies were provided!
Donations will serve kids at The Christmas Box Houses and Resource Rooms during the holidays and all throughout 2017, helping CBI to reach thousands in need both here locally and internationally. THANK YOU to everyone who participated and made this year’s event an incredible success.
Winston Churchill once said, “We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” We believe that to be true. May all the goodness you’ve given be returned.
If you’d like to participate in Project Elf and help support kids in emergency shelters, it’s not too late! Donations of unwrapped gifts and toys are accepted all December long. Click here for a list of local needs and for drop-off locations, dates and times.
