Daybreak Residents Delight in Giving Back. $6,500 in Donations for Project Elf!
Written By: Connor Anderson
Each holiday season, The Christmas Box International (TCBI) invites the community to join Project Elf—a donation drive that gathers gifts, clothing, toys, supplies and gift cards for children, teens and young adults in the care of Christmas Box Houses and Resource Rooms. And every year, the LiveDAYBREAK Community Council helps lead the way here in Daybreak.
This season, donations from Daybreak residents and friends filled the Community Center, and together we contributed over $6,500 in gifts and supplies for kids in need.
Who the donations support
Your generosity reaches kids at the Christmas Box Houses and Resource Rooms—and it makes a difference during the holidays and into the new year. Project Elf helps TCBI provide essentials and joy to youth here in Utah and, through its programs, beyond.

How Daybreak gets involved
The LiveDAYBREAK council—our independent, resident‑focused nonprofit—organizes charitable projects and community events that bring neighbors together. During Project Elf, residents donate new, unwrapped items all December long. In fact, you can keep the spirit going by checking LiveDAYBREAK’s events & activities and Daybreak’s What’s Happening page for seasonal giving opportunities.
- Give gift cards or items from the official wish lists.
- Organize a drive with friends, clubs, or your block—start with TCBI’s Project Elf toolkit.
- Volunteer locally through LiveDAYBREAK’s Volunteer Activities Council.
Why giving back matters here
“We make a living by what we get, but we make a life by what we give.” — commonly attributed to Winston Churchill
At Daybreak, that spirit shows up in big and small ways. From neighborhood drives to community‑wide campaigns, residents step up—year after year—to make the season brighter.
Keep the momentum going
If you missed this year’s collection window, you can still help. Visit TCBI to donate online, browse current needs, or follow LiveDAYBREAK on Facebook for the latest local giving opportunities. And if you’re new to the community, explore resources for Daybreak residents and see how easy it is to get involved.
