What's Happening

Looking for a way to stay active? South Jordan Parks & Recreation department recently kicked off a virtual race series to supplement their popular SoJo Race Series impacted by the coronavirus. The concept is simple, yet genius. Residents are encouraged to run virtual races throughout the City and then share screenshots of their times/routes. Participants can enter to win weekly prizes and for a nominal registration fee recieve a coveted race t-shirt or medal.

According to the virtual race website, “As we all are doing our part to keep ourselves and those around us healthy by staying apart, we need to find ways to stay connected. This virtual race series is our way to maintain the connection with our race community and to maintain our mental and physical health.”

New routes are posted weekly and you can participate whether you walk, bike or run. There are even a few routes planned to highlight the trail network in Daybreak.

So lace up your tennis shoes, grab your ear-pods and get outdoors.
