What's Happening

Inspired by their love of reading the Shorr family has spent the last few weeks spearheading a campaign to add additional Little Free Libraries to the Daybreak community. What is a Little Free Library? Well, it’s a worldwide movement to promote literacy and the love of reading by incorporating free book exchanges in communities. No library card required, simply “take a book, return a book.”
Earlier this week more than 1,200 books were donated during a book drive hosted by Chick-fil-A South Jordan. Participants received dinner in exchange for donating one or more books in good condition. THANK YOU to everyone who came out and participated.

The Shorr family will have their Little Free Library installed the beginning of November. Courtney’s husband built the library to be a replica of their home in Founders’ Park Village.  Keep up-to-date on the latest books added to their library by following the Little Free Library of Roselawn Way Facebook page.
Four additional Little Free Libraries will be added to various locations in the Daybreak community in the next few months. Once installations is complete, residents will be able to explore the community visiting the various libraries in search of a good book.
In the meantime, you can search for other Little Free Libraries operating near Daybreak.

Book donations are still being accepted (new or gently used), you can take them to the Daybreak Community Center and drop them off in the donation boxes!

The Shorr family is working in connection with LiveDAYBREAK, Kennecott Land, Daybreak HOA and Chick-Fil-A South Jordan to bring additional Little Free Libraries to the community.
