Campus Layout by Grades
As the campus expands, ELA is thoughtfully reorganizing grade levels to better serve students of all ages. The main building continues to house Kindergarten through 4th grade along with the library, physical education areas, and main office. Meanwhile, the current junior high building transitions into a dedicated 5th–6th grade middle school facility.
This structure allows each age group to learn in an environment tailored to their developmental stage. Furthermore, it ensures that as enrollment grows, each student continues to receive personalized attention and access to well‑equipped classrooms.
Why This Expansion Matters
ELA’s expansion directly supports the school’s mission to provide a well‑rounded education that balances academics, arts, and community engagement. With more classrooms, teachers can introduce additional enrichment programs and reduce class sizes. In addition, the theatre gives students a dedicated space to perform and express creativity through drama, music, and public presentations.
Furthermore, the increased lunchroom capacity simplifies scheduling, allowing students to enjoy mealtime without feeling rushed. This seemingly small change contributes significantly to student well‑being and daily balance.
During the 2015–2016 school year, ELA planned to add one additional class per grade, steadily moving toward its goal of accommodating approximately 1,000 students. Consequently, this expansion builds a strong foundation for the future of Daybreak education.
