What's Happening

Daybreak builder Sego Homes partnered with Homes for HOPE to help thousands of families lift themselves out of poverty. Proceeds from a very special Sky Terrace townhome in SoDa Row—plus donations from generous vendors, trade partners, and consultants—went to the nonprofit.Jump to:

How Homes for HOPE works

Here’s the model—simply put. A builder teams up with its trades, suppliers, and subcontractors to donate as much of the construction cost as possible. By reducing costs, the sale generates more net proceeds. After closing, the builder donates those proceeds to Homes for HOPE, which supports HOPE International’s microenterprise work around the world.

Impact to date

  • $98,200 raised by Sego Homes as of August 2019.
  • Goal: $100,000 (and they were oh‑so‑close!).
  • Who benefits: Many recipients are single mothers who use small loans (often $100–$200) to start sustainable businesses.

Because trades and suppliers join in, one home can ripple outward—funding thousands of new beginnings through micro‑loans and training.

A word from Sego Homes

“It is gratifying to be able to make a real difference.” — Wayne Corbridge, CEO/Owner, Sego Homes

In other words, the project empowers families to create income—whether that’s buying a sewing machine to launch a tailoring service or purchasing a small stove to start a food stand.
