We could go on and on about Contempo, the new single-family home collection by Sego Homes. But we’re going to try to keep this story from going too long, because you really should just go experience these homes — either virtually or IRL — for yourself. And honestly, the sooner the better.
Contemporary is More Than Skin Deep
When you first see one of the model homes in the Contempo Collection, you might assume that the name Contempo is simply a reference to the clean-lined architecture. But in fact, the exterior is just the smallest of beginnings. For the homes of Contempo, “contemporary” isn’t just the style. It’s the inspiration and the life philosophy. In ways big and small, the Contempo collection has been designed to bring more convenience, efficiency, sunshine and fresh air to modern life.
Living Inside Out
With Contempo, Sego Homes has found new ways either to bring you outside or to bring the outside inside. With their model home of the Adventure floorplan, you’ll see this idea play out in high drama. Beginning with the French entry door, a glass double door that lets natural light spill into the entry, living room and dining room.
Then there’s the main level courtyard, which is centered between the living room, kitchen and den and accessed from each of these rooms through huge sliding glass doors. Take one look at this lovely little arrangement and you’ll realize that your dinner parties will never be the same.

But wait, we’re just getting started. Head upstairs and go down the hall toward your owner’s suite. We’d tell you to turn right and experience the tall-ceilinged bed chamber and spa-like main bath, but you won’t be able to. Why? Because your attention will be drawn, like a little bee to a sunlit daisy, to the large covered deck just outside your owner’s bedroom. The deck is probably big enough to accommodate the whole family. But no, it’s a light, breezy place to sip your morning tea, read the paper, maybe do a little work … and it’s all for you.
Want a little more outdoorsyness? Check out the private deck on one of the secondary bedrooms. Want a lot more? Bounce over to the Innovator model home and get a load of the third-level skydeck and skyroom. They are the definition of “above and beyond.”

The Contempo is in the Details
If you can take your eyes off all the big attention-grabbing features of Contempo, let yourself appreciate the little touches that will remake the small moments of your day. Like the doggy wash. Or the laundry passthrough that connects your walk-in closet directly to the laundry room. Or the “Costco Door” that lets you load groceries directly from the garage to the pantry. Or the “Amazon Door” that lets packages be delivered safe and secure. (Take that, porch pirates.)
It all adds up to a home designed for the times. And since the model homes are open, the time to experience Contempo is now. Start your tour at The Hub Info Center.
Getting to Know the Neighborhood
The Contempo Collection is currently being built in Cascade Village. The neighborhood is located in Daybreak’s Upper Villages, wrapping under and along the Watercourse. So depending on where you live in Cascade Village, you’ll be anywhere from several blocks to just across the street from this wonderful, waterful feature. Cascade Village is also planned to have some fun new parks, including an innovative sports park with courts for basketball and street hockey as well as outdoor ping pong tables. And Cascade Village is surrounded by more good stuff. Living here, you’ll have ready access to trails and a brand new elementary school and a neighborhood swimming pool and sports fields and restaurants and light rail stations and Oquirrh Lake and so much more.
