It’s exciting when a new business decides to plant roots in Daybreak, especially when that business shares our love of animals. Animal Care Center Daybreak recently started construction on a 9,162 square foot facility in SoDa Row, located behind Black Diamond Gymnastics. Offering full service veterinary care, grooming, surgery, hospice and rehabilitation—Animal Care Center Daybreak—will be your go to spot for compassionate and skillful care.
Founded by Dr. Pam Nichols, Animal Care Center, has grown from a small hospital in Bountiful into two hospitals that are AAHA accredited. The Daybreak location will become her third. Additionally, she has created a successful dog daycare/boarding business.
When asked in a Utah Business Magazine article what she most enjoys about her work, Dr. Nichols shared, “The people first. I love my team and my clients. Then the pets … I love wagging tails and dog smiles. I love that I can be part of my client’s families. I love being the one people come to when they need an answer and a solution. I love doing something that I know I do really well.”

In fact, Dr. Nichols clients were the reason she considered opening a business in Daybreak. For the past 3-4 years the Greeno family, longtime Daybreak residents, have continued to drive to the Bountiful location for their pet care needs. Every time they would visit with Dr. Nichols, they shared how much they love Daybreak and that the community needed a veterinary office. According to Dr. Nichols “everything fell into place” and she is excited to be part of the Daybreak community later this summer.
