Porch brings a farm‑to‑table menu with Southern charm to Daybreak. Executive Chef Jen Gilroy, known for the award‑winning Meditrina in Salt Lake City, leads the kitchen.

Porch will open on SoDa Row in late May. The restaurant occupies the corner of Kestrel Rise Rd. and Daybreak Rim Way, offering a walkable location near shops, trails, and Oquirrh Lake.

Why Porch Chose Daybreak

Chef Gilroy recently moved to the suburbs. However, she missed the downtown dining energy. So, she decided to build that energy at Daybreak. The neighborhood’s design, community spirit, and lakeside setting made the decision easy.

Porch blends classic Southern flavors with modern technique. Consequently, you can expect comforting plates, seasonal produce, and thoughtful cocktails and wines. In addition, the space features an inviting atmosphere suited to date nights, family dinners, and friendly gatherings.

Meatloaf balls will be on the menu at Porch and received rave reviews at a recent tasting.

Chef Jen describes Porch as an upscale casual restaurant with a relaxed atmosphere. Foodies will love the variety of scratch-made items on the menu including the southern fried chicken that is seasoned to perfection in a sweet tea brine, caramelized onion cheddar grits or spiked watermelon slaw. Don’t forget to try out the mac & cheese when you stop in!
