With today’s new home market conditions and the scarcity of available homes, there is some good news and some not so good news. The key is knowing how to manage the current climate.

Let’s start with the not so good news…
Due to a variety of factors, it’s difficult to find a home right now. Our builders are doing their best to meet that demand, but many of them are completely out of lots to build on at the moment. The best advice we can give is to spend some time online researching builders and floorplans and then make an appointment with your preferred builders to ask a lot of questions about the process so that when they do have something available, you’re in a spot where you can jump on it. Also you’ll probably have to wait a little longer than anticipated for your home to be built once it gets started. Currently, the process typically takes around 10-12 months, and there’s a good chance you’ll have to get on the builders’ waiting list before you can even write a contract on your new home. So talk to your builder about timelines and when you can expect your new home to be completed.
And now for the good news…
Some of Daybreak’s homebuilders are introducing brand new home collections in the coming months. And this summer, we’re launching a whole new village that stretches along The Watercourse, our chain of canals and ponds coming soon to the Upper Villages of Daybreak.
Before you know it, the waiting will be over and you’ll be moving into your new home — and your new life — in Daybreak.
