Many roads lead to Daybreak.
Ease of transportation depends largely on having more than one way to get from A to B. Certainly, movement within Daybreak is greatly enhanced by its walkable community design. But Daybreak is also well connected to the rest of the Salt Lake Valley. And it’s getting more so all the time.
In February, 2010, Forbes.com named Salt Lake City the “Best City for Commuters.” Forbes gave much of the credit to Utah’s proactive approach to transportation projects. Two of the state’s most important projects — the Mid-Jordan light rail line and the Mountain View Corridor — will connect directly to Daybreak. The platforms and track for the Mid-Jordan line are already under construction with light rail service expected to begin in 2011. Construction has also begun on the Mountain View Corridor. The initial roadway portion that runs through Daybreak is planned to open in 2013.
These large transportation initiatives, as well as several smaller projects that connect to Daybreak, are like laser pointers aimed at where the Valley’s most vigorous growth is expected to take place.
